Services offered
The Department of Justice and Public Safety, in collaboration with the New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission, has established a Family Advice Lawyer service. Persons without legal representation may request a free one hour up to a maximum of two hour appointment with a lawyer on the roster. Lawyers can provide general legal information regarding separation and divorce issues, information about the court process and assistance completing court forms.

Residents in the Saint John judicial district (counties of Saint John, Kings and Charlotte) can contact the Family Law Information Centre at 658-2261.
Residents of New Brunswick residing outside of the Saint John Judicial District can contact 1-855-266-0266 to request an appointment.

The Family Advice Lawyer Service is available in all regions of the province.
