This is a stacked vertical bar chart that illustrates the number of legal aid applications denied by the type of legal aid applications requested from 1999 to April 2002.
The Y axis represents the number of applications denied. It is measured in numbers and in increments of ten starting from 0 to 70.
The X axis represents the years and the type of legal aid applications requested. The following years are listed from left to right: 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002. The types of applications requested are classified as follows: Family, Criminal and Civil.
- In 1999, less than 5 civil legal aid applications were denied. In the same year fewer than 20 criminal legal aid applications and almost 40 family legal aid applications were denied.
- In 2000, less than 5 civil legal aid applications, less than 10 criminal legal aid applications and about 40 family legal aid applications were denied.
- In 2001, the total number of cases that were denied was less than ten.
- In 2002, less than 5 family legal aid applications were denied.
