This is a pie chart which illustrates the percentage of most serious charges committed by Saskatchewan Aboriginal youth serving remand on the snapshot day.
This pie chart is divided into five categories, which stand for each type of offence. The four categories are as follows: “Person”, “Property”, “other CC” “drugs” and “federal/provincial statute”.
- 45% of Saskatchewan Aboriginal youth in remand were charged with a persons offence
- 35% of Saskatchewan Aboriginal youth in remand were charged with a property offence
- 16% of Saskatchewan Aboriginal youth in remand were charged with an other CC offence
- 2% of Saskatchewan Aboriginal youth in remand were charged with a federal/provincial statute offence or a drugs offence
