The X axis is divided by 9 categories, from left to right: 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002. Each category is divided by two sub-categories, from left to right: claims referred and claims finalized.

The Y axis indicates the number of claims from 0 to 450 000 in increments of 5000.

In the 1994, the number of refugee claims both referred and finalized was approximately 20 000. In 1995, about 25 000 claims were referred and about 13 000 were finalized while in 1996, approximately 25 000 were referred and approximately 16 000 were finalized. In 1997, approximately 24 000 claims were referred and about 18 000 were finalized. In 1998, about 25 000 claims were referred and approximately 23 000 were finalized. In 1999, approximately 29 000 claims were referred and of those about 27 000 were finalized. In 2000, about 33 000 claims were referred and about 27 000 were finalized. In 2000, about 34 000 claims were referred and about 28 000 claims were finalized. In 2001, approximately 43 000 claims were referred and about 27 000 were finalized. The projected number of claims referred for 2002 is about 40 000 and the number of projected finalized claims is about 35 000.
