Resolution Mechanisms

Ensuring youth victims, survivors, accused, convicted youth, and families have multiple community-based and culturally-based options available to address crime is a core outcome of the youth criminal justice system. This outcome is measured by the decreased use of incarceration and an increase in diversion to community-based resolutions such as restorative justice processes and Indigenous justice programs.
