Confidence in the System
Ensuring that Canadians understand the role of and express confidence in the criminal justice system is a core outcome of the criminal justice system. Research shows that Canadians are more likely to express confidence in the criminal justice system if they increase their awareness and understanding of the criminal justice system through public legal education or media. This outcome is measured by public awareness of the role of the criminal justice system, public confidence in the criminal justice system, and by the willingness of victims to report crime.
