The Y axis is measured in percentages and increases in increments of 10 from 0 to 60.
This chart is divided into five categories, from left to right: “Person”, “Property”, “drugs”, “and other CC” and “federal/provincial statutes”. Each category is divided by two sub-categories, from left to right: open and secure.
- 35% of Aboriginal youth in open custody and 40% in secure custody committed a persons offence
- 52% of Aboriginal youth in open and 47% in secure custody committed a property offence
- 0.4% of Aboriginal youth in open and 2% in secure custody committed a drugs offence
- 11% of Aboriginal youth in open and 11% in secure custody committed an other CC offence
- 2% of Aboriginal youth in open and 1% in secure custody committed a Federal/Provincial Statute offence
