This is a pie chart which illustrates the percentage of most serious charges committed by Manitoba Aboriginal youth serving remand on the snapshot day.
This pie chart is divided into four categories, which stand for each type of offence. The four categories are as follows: “Person”, “Property”, “other CC” and “federal/provincial statute”.
- 29% of Manitoba Aboriginal youth in remand were charged with a persons offence
- 44% of Manitoba Aboriginal youth in remand were charged with a property offence
- 26% of Manitoba Aboriginal youth in remand were charged with an other CC offence
- 1% of Manitoba Aboriginal youth in remand were charged with a federal/provincial statute offence
