Figure 9 illustrates respondents’ opinions on violent juvenile offenders being tried in adult court and serving time in adult prisons for the years 1994 and 1998.

The x axis is divided in 3 categories: favor, oppose, and no opinion. Each category is divided by 2 sub-categories: 1994 and 1998.

The y axis is measured in percentages from 0 to 80 and in increments of 20.

In 1998, approximately 77% of respondents were in favor, approximately 22% opposed and approximately 2% had no opinion on violent juvenile offenders being tried in adult court and serving time in adult prisons. In 1994, approximately 68% of respondents were in favor, approximately 25% opposed and approximately 5% had no opinion on violent juvenile offenders being tried in adult court and serving time in adult prisons.
