The Y axis represents the mean scores of pre treatment attitudes. The mean scores are assigned number values from a low of 1 to a high of 4 with scores of 1 or 2 indicating general “agreement” with items, and scores of 3 or 4 indicating “disagreement.”
The X axis represents the types of pre-intervention attitudes endorsed by those who are referred by probation, early intervention court, or voluntary referral. The types of attitudes listed are as follows from left to right: Lack of personal responsibility, Partner blame, Lack of readiness for intervention, Sexist attitudes towards women, and Denial of expected relationship difficulties.
