Purpose
The purpose of this Addendum to the Pod Memorandum of Understanding is to permit JUS and the Public Service Pay Centre of PSPC to exchange, collect, access, use, and disclose protected personal information in support of pay, compensation, and benefits administration activities, while allowing interim compensation support to be provided by JUS compensation staff who are not part of the established pay processing pod. Specifically, the arrangement enables compensation personnel at JUS to access protected personal information contained in PSPC pay systems such as Phoenix, the Compensation Web Application, MyGCHR, and the Regional Pay System in order to process pay, compensation, and benefits transactions.
The Information sharing is bidirectional, in which PSPC discloses and provides JUS with access to its information systems outlined above, and reciprocally JUS provides PSPC with employee information required for access administration including for auditing, compensation processing activities, and oversight purposes. In addition, this MOU authorizes, on a need-only basis, for a maximum of two JUS employees to access pay files belonging to employees of Pay Centre organizations (excluding the RCMP and certain safety and security agencies) for the sole purpose of processing transfer-in/out overpayment cases.
