Purpose:

The Southern Chiefs' Organization Inc. has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to operate the First Nation Justice Strategy Program. The Program delivers adult and youth criminal diversion programs in First Nation communities, located in Southern Manitoba, with the goal of reducing the number of individuals in contact with the mainstream justice system. The programs are community based and community driven, reflecting the language, traditions and needs of each specific community.
